Rothwell Day Services

Like? Very entertaining. Chance to do something different, absorbing activity – had to focus, made people work as a team without realising it. Steve made everyone feel part of the group.

Learned? Percussion and drumming can appeal to any group.
What else happened? The staff were able to laugh, share, smile, have fun, stop squabbling about petty things for a while – completely worth it.
Hope to invite you back sometime this year, Steve, to run a workshop for some staff and service users.

Fun/Creative drum circle for centre staff, January 2008

Haxby Methodist Church
Like? Good mix of ages; good fun; great involvement.
Improve? Change the start to something different from ‘naming your favourite food’ – as an alternative. [Comment from organiser who’s been to several of my community circles and is reminding me that I have become lazy and need to vary my openings!]
Learned? Working together with little experience can be fantastic fun!
