7th Roundhay (St Edmund’s) Guides
Like? There were sufficient instruments for everyone. Guides were all given the chance to play their instrument of choice. All the Guides took part in the activity, not just the musical ones.
Improve? Perhaps a few more rotations of instruments. More small groups doing rhythms in the finale.
Learned? Which of the Guides and leaders could keep the beat and rhythm – not as expected!
Anything else? Greta evening’s entertainment enjoyed by all – brilliant!

St Margaret’s Rainbows 2006
We talked about it with the girls and they said:
Like? Counting. Playing all the instruments. Loud drums. Magic conducting stick. Food rhythms
Improve? Make it a bit quieter (only one girl said this!)
Learned? African song
Anything else? Please come again

Kala Sangam / South Craven Youth Centre
Like? The relaxed approach to the workshops and how young people had the opportunity and take a lead.
Improve? Nothing on your part – perhaps some more young people participating
Learned? Different calls on drums and origin. Putting words to tunes and general atmosphere.
Anything else? Costumes great! [I’d taken some African clothes and some sarongs]. I’ll also be obtaining written evaluations form the group and will forward to you.
