Wigginton Out of School Club 2006
Like? All children had an instrument at the same time; everyone was included; kept children amused
Improve? Costumes may be a nice idea. Children could learn a tune.
Learned: How to play instruments from different cultures.

Like? Steve’s ability to engage all group members
Improve? Nothing specifically. I would value the opportunity to think about/discuss any follow-up
Learned? Seeing individual young people respond – one young person, severely autistic, was more animated, and engaged more with group members during this session than previous activities.
Other? Thank you for your skills and approach.

Like? Lots of getting-to-know you exercises, team-building, great variety – lovely range of instruments. The calming ending was very successful, I thought.
Improve? Too early to comment.
Learned? That the group responded and stayed engaged when the playing was very quiet – the hypnotic nature of the playing really ‘grabbed’ the group.
Some of these people have been coming for three years and have just sat in the circle. Today everyone was involved!
Anything else? I look forward to working with you in 2007. This is a first – an artist asking us for feedback! I am unable to speak on behalf of the participants, really – but we can certainly do that when we start again. I think the general consensus was that you were a hit!
